Pleatable

Only materials that can be pleated can be used for the manufacture of "accordion-like" gaiters. The artificially produced folds are created in pleating machines when temperature and pressure are applied together. Due to the fact that gaiters are often subject to heavy mechanical loads, the carrier fabric and the coating both have to guarantee good flexibility over long periods of time.
